Growing Community

One of the joys experienced in the first year of the school was the sense of community the students developed.

Our children come from families that serve several different mission organizations. For the first time, the students could connect in ways that had not taken place before the school.

A goal this year is to extend this sense of school community to include the parents. To this end, a parent-teacher team has been formed with a parent representative from each mission organization. This team, along with the teachers, has decided to have bi-monthly family activities that will help build a sense of school community.

The first activity was a back-to-school potluck which was a great success!
